MEXICAN PESO DEPRECIATES ALMOST 2.0% AGAINST THE DOLLAR IN ONE DAY

The Mexican peso closed the session on March 7 with a depreciation of 1.93%, that is, a decline of 40.5 cents, trading around 21.35 pesos per dollar, as the fourth currency in a reference currency basket. against the dollar, informed the Banco Base Financial Group.

“With the exchange rate touching a minimum of 20.91 and a maximum of 21.36 pesos – a level not seen since December 3, 2021 -, the Mexican peso closed as the fourth most depreciated currency in the session”, details the bank’s report to its clients in the financial markets.
