DOCTOR WHO DISCOVERED OMICRON SAYS SHE WAS PRESSED TO NOT DISCLOSE IT WAS A MILD STRAIN

The doctor who helped discover the  Omicron   COVID-19 variant said she was pressured by various European government officials not to reveal that it was a very mild strain.

The doctor who discovered the Omicron Covid-19 strain, Dr. Angelique Coetzee, says she was pressured by various European government officials not to reveal that the new variant had presented symptoms as mild as the flu, according to an interview in Welt. fromGermany.

Speaking to Germany’s Welt newspaper, Dr. Angelique Coetzee, who is currently head of the South African Medical Association, said that during discussions with European officials, she was told not to say that Omicron patients had milder symptoms than earlier variants of COVID-19.

“They told me not to say publicly that it was a mild illness. I have been asked to refrain from making such statements and to say that it is a serious illness. but I turned them down,” he told Welt in response to a question about his initial Omicron talks with Europe.

“I am a clinical doctor and based on the clinical picture there are no indications that we are facing a very serious illness. The course of the strain is mostly mild.  I’m not saying you won’t get sick, but it is mild.“

The doctor continued explaining her findings on the difference between the Delta vs Omicron variants “The definition and treatment of mild Covid-19 disease [Omicron] is clear, and it is a definition from the WHO itself which says that patients can be treated in home and no oxygen or hospitalization is required.” she told her, adding: “A serious illness is one where we see acute lung respiratory infections – people need oxygen, maybe even artificial respiration. We saw it with Delta, but not with Omicron”. So I told people,  “I can’t say it’s like that because it’s not what we’re seeing.” 

When asked why he was prevented from telling the truth, Coetzee said: “They tried, but they didn’t succeed.“

“What I said at one point, because I was tired of it, was:  in South Africa, this is a disease [Omicron] is mild, but in Europe it is said to be very serious. That’s what their politicians wanted to hear.”

According to Coetzee, the South African authorities did not put pressure on her, but instead she was criticized by scientists from the UK and the Netherlands, who said: “ How can you explain that it is a mild disease? It is a serious illness.”

“My reports have diverted [changed] them. In a pandemic, you also have to look at what is happening at the grassroots level [in hospitals and doctors]. General practitioners who treat patients every day should be asked what they experience, how the clinical picture is presented.” -Bump

When Omicron first came about, Dr. Anthony Fauci said, “What we don’t know at this point is whether the people who get infected have a more severe form of the disease or whether it’s mild or delta-like disease.”

In the end, a wave of medical misinformation and confusion spread among the mainstream media and establishment doctors who supported the European version, while other independent media reported the South African version in various media reports– using the findings of Dr. Angelique Coetzee as a source .

Omicron was the basic argument that was used to apply the mandate to be vaccinated with a booster vaccine throughout the world.

At the close of this article, reports surfaced that last Friday, February 18 , Dr. Angelique Coetzee resigned from her position as president of the South African Medical Association (SAMA) on Friday, and was banned from speaking  further to the media, pending a disciplinary hearing.
